Magen David Adom has officially inaugurated its “Life Rider” unit, which is made up of EMTs who will respond to calls on electric bicycles. 22 Life Riders participated in the festive event, part of the fleet of 1,000 bicycles nationwide.
The licensed drivers also took a course to become familiar with the electric bicycles in the Ampi-Park in Ra’anana and they were then given their new electric bicycle.
MDA officials explain the bicycles can reach a patient in areas that even their motorized scooters cannot, including parks and alleyways. They will also serve valuable at special events when people are crammed together.
Gush Dan is the primary testing area, and MDA projects 1,000 bicycles will be operating in the Tel Aviv area by mid-2017.

According to the Tazpit News Agency, Magen David Adom is directing its personnel to learn Arabic.
Presumably, to help our violent enemies?
