Tamir Resigns from Knesset

MK (Labor) Professor Yuli Tamir, a former minister of education, submitted her resignation from Knesset on Sunday. In essence, the letter was submitted before shabbos but it did not take effect until Sunday.

Her resignation most analysts believe delivers another blow in the crumbling Labor Party, as party leader Ehud Barak struggles to maintain control.
