Tehran, April 10, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Saturday that the Islamic Republic of Iran is now emerging as a new power in the world.

President Ahmadinejad made the remarks in a meeting with new Iranian ambassadors to Norway, Jordan and Turkmenistan on Saturday.

Iran’s foreign policy is based on expansion of relations with other countries except the Zionist regime whose legitimacy has not been recognized by Iran, he said, adding that Iran sees no limits on expansion of ties with those countries, he said.

He highlighted the significant role of Iran in the world and said the Islamic Republic has been turned into a new power in the world pursuing a powerful policy to maintaining its dignity.

The ambassadors should keep in their minds that they must demonstrate the country’s goals and truly materialize aspirations of the Islamic Revolution, he said.

All countries in the world seek to establish mutually beneficial economic cooperation with Iran, he said, adding that in such a world where everybody calls for free commerce, the issue of sanctions is totally out of question.

Iranian ambassadors should spare no efforts to bolster existing ties and promote cultural relations among nations during their stay in the countries of their mission, underlined the Iranian president.

They also should help remove problems of Iranian nationals in those countries, said President Ahmadinejad.
