Former Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon announced on Shabbos his intention to launch a new political party to fight corruption and the “dialogue of hatred against Arabs”.

Ya’alon recently took leave of the Likud-led administration, stepping down from his senior cabinet post due to irreconcilable differences with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. Differences included the right of senior IDF commanders to express their personal opinions.

Ya’alon made his comments at a Tel Aviv cultural event on Shabbos, telling participants he will champion the fight against government corruption.
