Rabbi Eliezer Berland was scheduled for a difficult surgical procedure in Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital on Thursday, 4 Adar. He recently underwent another surgery, released from prison to remain incarcerated as a patient in the hospital.

Since his first surgery a few weeks ago, he remains under the watchful eye of the Israel Prison Authority, and his chassidim and even family are not permitted to visit freely. The family is now permitted a visit once a week but no one else.
