Border police continue working to prevent agricultural theft; nabbing avocado thieves’ red handed in Yishuv Rishpon.
An avocado grower about a month ago, complained to border police about detecting a cut in the fence near his crop. Police surmised the cut was made to permit thieves to come and make off with his crop that same night.
On Tuesday night, the eve of 3 Adar, using technological means, police succeeded in identifying a suspect who entered the avocado fields and he was taken into custody. When police arrived he had already filled two bags with avocado.
The suspect, a man in his 40s, is a resident of Araba.
