Sunday Afternoon News Briefs from Eretz Yisrael


An IDF combat helicopter fired at people getting to close to the Gaza border in the Kissufim area. The gunfire was for deterrence and not directed to hit anyone officials reported.
 
**A 17-y/o chareidi teen fell about 30 meters in Ein Geidi. United Hatzolah and Ein Geidi search & rescue volunteers worked to extricate him.
 
**A safe in the Park HaLeumi in Ramat Gan was torn out of its place early Friday by robbers. The safe contained NIS tens of thousands.
 
**A window of a vehicle belonging to the daughter of the state comptroller, Justice Micha Lindenstrauss was smashed in the Kiryat Tivon area overnight.
 
**Over 100 people took part in a Sunday morning protest near Parsa Checkpoint in the Talmonim area of the Benjamin Regional Council district of Shomron, decrying the continued deterioration of security on area roads.
