Thousands of children are expected at the Kosel on erev shabbos in keeping with minhag prior to shabbos chol hamoed Pesach, to recite Shir HaShirim.

Police remain on heightened operational alert throughout yomtov, working to prevent terror attacks and Arab unrests in the Old City of the capital, especially in the Kosel area.

Tens of thousands were on hand on Thursday morning for Birchas Kohanim.
