In an effort to unite all kehillos aligned with Degel Hatorah, the Hisachdus Kehillos Yerushalayim (התאגדות הקהילות בירושלים”) was created. According to a report in the Sunday 23 Shevat Yated Neeman, among those attending the historical founding were HaGaon Rav David Cohen Shlita, HaGaon Rav Baruch Solovechik Shlita, and HaGaon HaRav Yosef Efrati Shlita.
The founding kenos was hosted in the Ohel Yonasan Shul in Givat Shaul, Yerushalayim. The event was launched with the recitation of tefilos for a refuah shleima of HaGaon HaRav Aharon Yehuda Leib [ben Gittel Faiga] Shteinman Shlita.
