Jerusalem traffic police on Tuesday 18 Shevat saw a vehicle zigzagging through a street during the morning hours, almost striking parked vehicles. Police stopped near the vehicle at a traffic signal. They were shocked to see the driver had fallen asleep at the traffic light, only awakened to the horn of another car, that of a frustrated driver behind her as the light had turned green.

The driver then proceeded and once again, swerving from lane to lane, apparently not in control of the car. Police pulled her over and she explained she was extremely tired as she was heading to work. Police did not permit her to continue driving, remaining with her for half an hour and took the time to explain to her the dangers of driving when one is so tired. They waited for her to wash her face and refresh a bit.

The woman thanked police for their patience and kindness. She added that in their merit she will be able to return home to her husband and children unharmed.
