A fatal accident occurred on Highway 6 near the Ben Shemen Interchange on Thursday, involving a vehicle travelling southbound. The parents of a soldier were on their way to a military event involving their son, a soldier. Also in the vehicle was a friend of the soldier and his sister.

The vehicle flipped near the Ben Shemen Interchange for reasons that remain unclear at present. The girl, 13.5-years-old was pronounced dead on the scene. The father, mother and friend sustained moderate-to-light injuries, transported to Sharon and Beilinson Hospitals.
