Noam and Aviva Shalit addressed a Geneva human rights forum, the same forum that appointed the Goldstone Commission.

The parents of captive IDF soldier Gilad explained that he remains in isolation in violation of international law and the Geneva Convention, adding in his report on Operation Cast Lead, Justice Richard Goldstone called on Hamas to release Gilad. They also point out that in his report, Goldstone called to permit humanitarian visits to the soldier, which to date have not occurred, and mothering is done.

The Shalits stressed that are not politicians and they are simply working to obtain their son’s release.
