Magen David Adom, Israel’s emergency medical service provider complained to Kiryat Gat City Hall officials, that too many streets in the newly developing Guggenheim neighborhood lack names, making emergency response to that areas extremely complicated and time consuming.
As such, the city’s street naming committee convened this week, including Agudah councilman, R’ Shmuel Shapira, and six new street names were selected, streets in a chareidi area.
The new street names include “Beit Yosef”, “Netivot Shalom” (Slonim Rebbe), “HaAdmor M’Chabad”, “Baba Sali”, Bal Shemtov”, and “Noam Elimelech”. The neighborhood is to be called Ramat David after the late Kretchniff Rebbe ZT”L.

They should name a street “rechov Rabbi Banda”,in honor of the tzadikim from Tokyo
rezmam, I’m guessing they will be only name the streets after Gedolei Yisrael that are not alive anymore.
Banda may have gotten more punishment than he deserved but tzadik? surely you jest.
zalman, all three Bachurim that were at a time in Japan were very Chashuv and all have great potential to grow into a tzadik as you put it.
To Rezmam (No. 1).
You are really challenged to put the name of a and admitted and convicted drug smuggler who has brought shame on EY in the same context as real tzadikim and gadollim. Whether through greed or stupidity, the actions of banda and the other two bochurim have made it more difficult for all Isreali young men and women who travel around the world.
# 1 “Tzadikim” ?? Are you kidding?
I mean, we all support them, but no one including themselves deny the fact that they (un)willingly transported drugs.
