Last year’s pilot program of selling advanced ticketing in Yerushalayim was deemed a success, prompting Egged officials to offer the same arrangement in other chareidi communities including Bnei Brak and Ashdod. This is being done in the hope of facilitating travel to Meron on Lag B’Omer.
MK (Yahadut HaTorah) Menachem Eliezer Moses does not plan to leave arrangements to chance and he has already begun meeting with Egged officials to ensure the day’s events will pass without some of the horrors that accompanied bus travel to Kever Rashbi in past years.
In Bnei Brak, there will be only one departure bus stop, on Damasek Eliezer Street. The frequency of the 980 line will be increased on Lag B’Omer as well since travel on that line is less expensive and preferred by many larger families.
