According to Rabbi Yaakov Rosenstein, who is very close to Maran HaGaon HaRav Aaron Leib Shteinman Shlita, immediately after discovering the break-in in the Rav’s home in Bnei Brak about two months ago, it was clear it was not an “inside job” as police feared, discarding all the rumors to that effect.
“We knew from the very beginning it was not someone who is close to the rav, a staff member, and the rumors circulating were simply lies without any footing in fact”.
The rav declined to release any additional details on the arrests since the police investigation is still ongoing. It appears that late on Monday, police arrested a fourth suspect, a 21-year-old Bnei Brak resident who is being remanded on Tuesday. Earlier in the day, YWN-Israel reported three suspects were in custody, including brothers from Bnei Brak and a resident of Modi’in Illit, who YWN-Israel learned has a criminal past. This was far from his first offense and the young man unfortunately has been involved in criminal activity in the past. His parents have cut off ties with him as a result of his past activities.
Rav Rosenstein praised police for taking the matter so seriously, setting up a special investigating team, declining to detail the sum stolen but a senior police official involved in the investigation reported that it was over NIS 2 million.
According to a Yisrael HaYom report, there was NIS 2 million in checks and an additional $50,000 in cash.

Yesterday that link was proudly displayed to show how reliable and fast ywn is.
Moderators Note: YWN quoted police sources which stated that it was an “inside job” since there was no signs of “break-and-entry”. Additionaly, YWN quoted Kikar.net in reports. Here are all links previously posted. What your point is, we are not exactly sure….
