The Eida Chareidis kashrus organization is distributing about 1,000 washing cups for netilas yadayim to factories around Eretz Yisrael under its supervision, to be used by factory workers upon their arrival at work, prior to touching foods in the factory. The new regulation is only applicable to factories in which workers actually handle foods, not factories where the process is handled by machines.

The badatz agency sent letters to factories explaining the move and the need for the handing washing, and signs are being posted at washing stations next to the wash cups, ‘natlot’ as they are known in Israel.
