In yet another attack on Har HaZeisim, vandals last shabbos set the kever of the Lelover Rebbe zt”l ablaze, the weekly BaKehilla reports.
It appears that erev shabbos Purim resulted in few visitors to the cemetery on erev shabbos, permitting the attackers to perpetrate their attack, which resulted in significant damage to the Lelov area, including the tziyun of HaAdmor Rebbi Alter Eliezer Menachem zt”l. Flames resulted in significant damage and siddurim and tehillim were also burned.
Askan R’ Chiam Miller continues to sound the alarm and question how police continue turning a blind eye to frequent attacks against kevarim in this holy site.
The Chief Rabbinate of Israel is convening a special session of its rabbinical council to discuss the matter.
