A private individual pruning a tree in the Tel Aviv area on Wednesday morning caused a power outage to some 5,000 clients when a portion of the tree fell on an area electric line, Israel Electric Company officials report.

The accident impacted clients in a number of areas including Givatayim and Ramat Gan. The report does not indicate for how long power service was interrupted.
