A 16-year-old Jerusalem resident, a female described as a “known right-wing activist” has been taken into custody for allegedly making a series of threatening telephone calls to the home of IDF Major-General Avi Mizrachi.
The senior officer reports that in addition to threats, he was also subjected to verbal abuse, including shouts of “burn in hell”. The investigation first began in the north where he resides but after the origin of the phone calls was traced to the Jerusalem area, the investigation shifted to Shai (Shomron-Yehuda) District officials.
The suspect authorities report was among those detained last week when Jews broke into a Yericho shul without authorization and holed up in the building for a period of time until they were forced to leave. The suspect is being released on bail with restrictions on Wednesday.
