The European Union is taking a step to assist PA (Palestinian Authority) children suffering from cardiac ailments and who are in need of corrective life-saving surgery. Funding is being provided for some 150 children to undergo medical treatment, and the children will be admitted to Wolfson Medical Center in Rehovot under the “Save a Child’s Heart” project. Some €400,000 has been allocated for the medical costs involved, an EU emissary in Israel reports.
In a related matter, the EU community is also undertaking funding medical training for eight PA residents who are working their way through medical school.
