Police detectives arrested a young man in a Kiryat Sefer yeshiva. Three detectives entered the suspect’s dormitory room on Tuesday afternoon, arresting the man, in his 20s.
It appears the man filed a complaint against a security guard about two weeks ago, and today, a hearing on the matter was set in the Tel Aviv District Court. The young man has since discussed the matter with his rabbonim, who advised him to drop the complaint.
It appears he did not cancel the complaint and he did not appear, prompting the court to instruct police to arrest him for his failure to appear. Witnesses stated the police handled him quite roughly.
Despite efforts by askanim, it appears the young man will remain in lock up overnight.
