Following a meeting with senior European Union officials in Brussels, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman issued a statement during a press conference denying Israel’s responsibility for the assassination of senior Hamas terrorist Mahmoud al-Mabhouh in a Dubai hotel in January 2010. When asked by a journalist about Israel’s involvement in the assassination, the foreign minister stated that “I think you watch too many James Bond films”, insisting allegations pointing a finger of blame at Israel are not based in fact.
Lieberman was planning to discuss mounting concerns regarding Iran and its nuclear program, but EU foreign ministers used the forum to demand an explanation from Israel regarding the alleged use of foreign passports to dispatch Mossad agents to eliminate Mabhouh.
Lieberman stressed that he does not have any official information that would indicate Israel is responsible for the operation, and if any official information is given to Israel, not the headlines published in the media, Jerusalem would respond accordingly but presently, the situation does not warrant an official response.

Imagine if the world paid as much attention to Israeli victims of Arab terrorism as they are to this terrorist animal.
Funny that Europe doesn’t make a big commotion and question Iran, Syria and the “Palestinian” Authority when pizza stores or markets are blown up, killing children, but when a confirmed terrorist is killed with zero collateral damage Europe must speak!
Some things never change.
i think Dubai with collusion with some arab entity did it,so they can blame israel. it strikes me very suspicious that within weeks they have video of the whole thing, from one end of the city to another in multiple locations if you think about it putting together the pieces the way they did takes months not weeks. i really do think they did it also because this is not how Israel works with a terrorist like this, hes low level. they would have just fired a missile at his car like they did by all the other targeted assassinations, for them to put in so much money and resources for this idiot is unlikely. If they wanted to take out a prime minister in another country then it would make sense
Can YWN PLEASE find a less demonizing picture of Lieberman!? Is he really that bad in your eyes?
this story does more damage to israel than anything and drags everyone around the world into it making israel look bad to everyone, therefore its probably an amature frameing, there was probably 100 people that wanted him dead including the next 5 people in line to take his possition, his victims, it probably would have even been worth it to antisemites to kill him just to drag israel around the international media like this.
it doesnt matter what we do at all, everyone will hate us. please get every single arab out of eretz and have permanant boarders and then simply show our side of the story and close the doors.
Nine Two, how well you state the case! Not only that, but you are literate, unlike those who apparently lack another forum in which to display their basic inabilities in the english language.
Why are we wasting time (bitul zman) speculating aimlessly. When we need to know we will.
