Police are holding the truck driver in the Monday afternoon fatal head-on collison involving a private vehicle at Aravah Junction. Killed in the crash, which appears to have been the fault of the truck driver, was a couple, their infant son, and the husband’s brother and sister. Others were injured, some seriously.

First responders stood by helplessly, unable to assist the trapped passengers of the burning vehicle.

Police indicate they will bring the truck driver before a remand hearing on Tuesday morning.
