Marking 5 Years of Anti-Israel Protests at Bilin

Marking 5 years of the weekly protests at the Arab village of Bilin against the separation fence, 1,200 Arabs and left-wing Israelis were on hand on Friday.

As they threw rocks at soldiers, the violent participants managed to topple a portion of the partition fence and for a short period, they event maintained control on the military post at that location. Soldiers moved in quickly, using crowd-control adjuncts to distance the protestors from the military post.

Work recently began in the area to reroute the partition fence in compliance with a High Court of Justice ruling, in favor of the PA villagers, but the left-wingers vow to continue their struggle until such time the fence it totally removed.
