This coming Thursday, (February 18), training exercises will take place in the nation’s public schools to prepare students and teachers alike how to act in the event of an earthquake chas v’sholom.

The event is being co-hosted by the Education Ministry, IDF Homefront Command, MDA, and Israel Police, and at least one school in each school district will be involved in the training event.

In addition, a special handbook guide has been prepared by the IDF Homefront Command and the ministry, and students will spend one hour on Thursday to familiarize themselves with its content, addressing earthquakes and how one is to act.
