Youths from the Shomron community of Yitzhar on Tuesday night targeted the vehicle of IDF Shomron Brigade Commander Colonel Itzik Bar. They pelted the vehicle with rocks and containers of paint at the military vehicle as the senior officer was conducting a visit of the community. There were reports of damages to a number of vehicles.

Military officials cite this is another indicator of the decline in relations between the IDF and the community residents.

On Tuesday, prior to the colonel’s visit, inspectors of the IDF’s Civil Administration also visited the community, handing out demolition orders for structures constructed without all the necessary permits.
