Despite repeated statements from high-ranking Israel officials to the contrary, Lebanese Prime Minister Sa’ad Hariri continues efforts to inflame the regional diplomatic scene, citing Israel’s continued military “escalation” and his growing concerns regarding an imminent assault.

Hariri stated that despite the internal division existing in Lebanon, in the face of an Israeli attack against Lebanon or Syria, he would stand firm, united with his people against Israel.

Speaking with the BBC, the prime minister added that IAF fighter jets routinely violate Lebanese and Syrian airspace, on a daily basis. He pointed out that the illegal flyovers and what is “taking place on the ground” point to a military operation.
