Rav Ovadia Yosef Shlita Released from Hadassah

Baruch Rofeh Cholim – Maran HaGaon HaRav Ovadia Yosef Shlita was discharged from Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital today, Monday, at 1:44pm. The Gadol HaDor was accompanied by a son, HaGaon HaRav David Yosef, his gabbai R’ Tzvi Kakkak and R’ Chaim Mordechai Fried of Bikur Cholim, who is well connected in the hospital arriving early in the morning and spending the day to ensure all the needs of the Rav are accommodated expeditiously.

A senior medical team including Prof. Avidan who performed the procedure met at about 1:15pm, and they decided the Rav may be discharged.

The discharge was rapid as the Rav was heading for his home, where mincha takes place daily in the private beis medresh at 2:00pm. (The mispalalim of course waited a few minutes for the Rav today).

As was reported by YWN-Israel, the rav underwent a procedure under local anesthetic to drain fluid from his ear, which accumulated and resulted in a hearing loss. It appears that Baruch Hashem, the procedure went well.
