Rav Kanievsky Shlita Calls for Tefillos on Behalf of R’ Eliyahu Shlita

Maran HaGaon HaRav Chaim Kanievsky Shlita has called for an atzeres tefilla on behalf of Rishon L’Tzion Rabbi Mordechai [Tzemach ben Mazel] Eliyahu Shlita, whose condition took a sharp turn for the worse, now listed as critical in Shaare Tzedek Medical Center.

Rav Kanievsky stated the most appropriate place for the atzeres is the Rav’s shul in Kiryat Moshe, where he regularly disseminated Torah to the tzibur. In addition to that main tefilla event, others will be held around Eretz Yisrael, as per Rav Kanievsky’s call. Tefillos were recited at the Kever of the Chid’a on Har Menuchos on Sunday afternoon.

An speacial atzeres tefilla was held in the Rav’s shul on Sunday evening for women.

  1. #1. How about being Dan Lechaf Zechus. Many people go to the “Super Shiurim” held in many places, as to get extra שכר for לימוד התורה. BTW, what your excuse for always being on the internet?

  2. May Harav Mordechai Tzemach ben Mazal Tov have a complete refuah shelama among kol cholei Yisrael Amen!
I add his name for months already in daily Tehilim and bake challos with 40 women, with a bracha every week, with his name included.

Flatbush Bubby, you are always so sinister. The second Beit Hamikdosh was destoyed over 2000 years ago due to SINAT CHINUM! Practice AHAVAT CHINUM WITH SEVER PANIM YAFOT!!!!!

maybe u have a little time to teach some sem.girls to cook & bake… things they dont learn in school or from their mothers who are out working[or are too busy keeping up with the latest flatbush mishiggas?] thanks.

  4. #5 I don’t think Flatbush Bubby sounded sinister. To me it sounded like she was just being funny. If you want sinister, read all the other bloggers in other stories on YWN. People can get really nasty. There you will see SINAT CHINUM – plently of it.

  5. By the way #5 – using the sentence “you are always so sinister” is not exactly speaking with Ahavas Yisroel either. Practice what you preach. Like I’ve said before, we ALL need to improve ourselves.

  6. #6 Being sarcastic and condesending (not sure if I spelled that correctly) is not exactly treating others with Ahavas Yisroel. As I’ve said before, we ALL need to improve ourselves. Just because we are all anonymous here doesn’t mean we can be nasty. Let’s show Hashem we are ready for Moshiach to come – in peace!

u r making light [“kallus”] of my very important point. its reflected in many issues the community is suffering from. [incl. sh. bayit, chinuch, $, etc.]
speaking of ah. y. & moshiach – perhaps u r part of the reason moshiach has not come. better to take mussar to heart than to disregard it just because it wasnt stated in the nicest way. that would be an act of REAL ahavat yisrael.

  8. eli lev – so what exactly is your point? somehow i missed it. neither one of your posts made much of a point to me.
and thank you for saying that perhaps i’m part of the reason moshiach has not come. that was very kind of you. i will not take it to heart b/c you are not someone i would take seriously. nor will i take your so-called mussar to heart. you seem to have a mean streak in you. i will not stoop to that level and say what i was thinking. i will take the high road and wish you well.

if u dont get the point, then maybe speak to a competent rav in flatbush who is also involved in chinuch habanos.
u wrote in #9 giving mussar that i was being nasty,& u implied that i lacked ahavat yisrael which means im not ready for moshiach…[read ur own words] u also wrote that “we ALL need to improve” which includes urself. if ur serious about improving then be open to hear mussar no matter whos giving it & no matter how it was said.
