Deputy Education Minister Visits Belz Building Complex in Yerushalayim


Deputy Minister of Education R’ Meir Porush visited a building site in Kiryat Belz in Yerushalayim on Thursday, the home of the new Belz talmid torah. His tour of the area was reported as “comprehensive”, the daily HaMevaser reports.

From there R’ Porush visited the current Belz talmid torah, in Zichron Moshe, built some 40 years ago. Accompanying the deputy minister were senior Belz rabbonim shlita, the architect and other managerial professionals involved in the major project, which is intended to provide a solution for the current overcrowding.

Rav Bentzion Klein, who is supervising the project, reports the new talmid torah will be 5,000 square meters, and it will serve over 1,000 talmidim.
