Speaking to Russian language media, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) announced there is no point in resuming diplomatic talks with Israel for as long as Israel refuses to come to the table with a readiness to recognize the need to establish a Palestinian state based on the pre-1967 boundaries.

He stated that in addition, Israel must recognize the ‘right-of-return’ of so-called Palestinian refugees, and without this recognition, talks will fail after the first meeting.
