An IDF combat veteran, in his 20s, was the victim of a robbery in La Paz, the capital of Bolivia. The victim apparently resisted and was stabbed to death. His family has been notified and the Foreign Ministry is working to bring the body home for kvura.

Bolivia terminated diplomatic ties with Israel during Operation Cast Lead, with President Evo Morales accusing Israel of war crimes and violations of international law.
