The Shomrei Torah newspaper closed down about 18 months ago, with the man behind the effort, R’ Micha [ben Rosa] Rothschild still admitted to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in serious condition following a vehicular accident.
According to a Chadrei Chareidim report, the newspaper will be published again, within the coming weeks, with associates of Rav Rothschild undertaking the mission. The articles will be written by notables in the chareidi media, who will be publishing under their pen names.
It appears that a number of days before the accident, Rothschild was already working to revitalize the newspaper, seeking the need. It appears the newspaper may hit the stands as soon as next week, selling for NIS 3.
The newspaper took an aggressive unrelenting tone in its attacks against those who dared to compromise the values of Torah and the chareidi community. Not seeking adverts, the publishers were not concerned with stepping on toes, as it did in articles against Egged, labeled as a company which tramples the rights of the chareidi community. The newspaper is funded by businessmen who believe in its message and mission.
The newspaper will be available in chareidi areas around the country, starting with tens of thousands of copies per edition. The renewed newspaper appears will be a toned-down version of the previous editions, the report states.

Reb Micha’s mother’s name is RAYTZ not Rosa. I heard that from the mouth of Dr Rothchild, Micha’s father, himself. May Micha have a refuoh shleimoh
