The cabinet at Sunday’s weekly meeting approved measures intended to increase the punishment for illegals and those cooperating with them, including Israeli drivers, employers and facilitators.

Some of the reasons given for the rise in illegal PA (Palestinian Authority) residents founds in Green Line Israel include increase in gasoline prices and improved security barriers, making efforts to circumvent them increasingly difficult. This results in PA illegals remaining in Green Line Israel for extended periods.

Government officials approve taking a harder position against all illegals, infiltrators into Israel from all borders who steal jobs from residents of the country and negatively impact the national economy. As such, stiffer punishment will be approved for Israelis working to assist infiltrators to illegally cross borders.
