Responding to Lawsuit Against Mrs. Sara Netanyahu

Officials in the Prime Minister’s Office released a statement amid reports in the media that Lillian Peretz, a former housekeeper in the Netanyahu home, is suing Mrs. Sara Netanyahu in the Tel Aviv Labor Court.

YWN-Israel reported that Lillian is claiming she was abused during her employ, enduring ridicule and religious discrimination, compelled to work on shabbos.

The PM’s Office points out the former domestic remained in the Netanyahu’s employ for six years, signaling things were not as bad as portrayed in the media, further releasing a copy of her letter of resignation, signed “with much love and admiration, Lillian Peretz”, further attesting to parting ways in a friendly and cordial fashion.

Officials added that Lillian was employed to maintain their Caesarea home as she states, but she neglected to point out that home was vacant most of the time and the family rarely was present as suit leads the public to believe. The home was used “for weekends and from time to time”.

Attorney David Samron, who is representing Mrs. Netanyahu, explains she was successful in two prior suits as the court realized she was telling the truth, a similar suit by a former employee, as well as a libel suit filed against the Kol Ha’ir newspaper. He is confident that Mrs. Netanyahu will emerge the victor here once again, as her version of the events is indeed factual.
