According to Arab media reports, the decision by Israel to compel Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon issue an apology to Turkey is major media, reporting how Turkey “restored Islamic honor” by putting “Israeli chutzpa in its place”.

Ayalon agreed to issue the apology following the intervention of President Shimon Peres and Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, who urged him to reconsider his position, refusing to add to his ‘clarification’ that he released earlier.
