US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton believes that new stiffer sanctions against Iran are not enough, but the sanctions must target the nation’s elite, the leaders.
Representatives of China, the UK, France, Germany, the US, and Russia will be meeting over the weekend to discuss the situation regarding Iran and increased sanctions in response to Tehran’s continued defiance. Clinton explained that it is now clear that the decision-makers number of few elite leaders and those individuals must be targeted in the next round of sanctions.
The venue of the meeting, expected to take place on Saturday, has not yet been decided upon.
