A confrontation took place on Monday evening between Jews and Arabs near Gilad Farm in Shomron, with Arabs accusing residents of Gilad Farm from entering their community and provocation a confrontation. The Israeli mainstream media reports the Arabs added that when the IDF arrived, “they sided with settlers” and removed them from the area and did not permit them to continue farming their land.
Gilad Farm residents tell a slightly different story, explaining how PA villagers entered their community and provoked an incident, only then turning around the facts to depict the Jews as the aggressors, when in reality; the situation was quite the opposite. Farm residents explained that Arabs from nearby Par’ata entered without authorization, adding they became alarmed upon hearing gunfire from that area.
According to the IDF version, both sides hurled stones at one another, unaware of any gunfire involvement.
