Justice Ministry Police Investigations’ Unit agents on Sunday arrested policemen after raiding the Yarkon Police Headquarters, reportedly for assaulting and abusing a 26-year-old Arab male about a month ago, after the latter was arrested for stealing a motorcycle worth about NIS 100,000.
The victim, in this case the motorcycle thief, filed a complaint against police, leading to the arrest of at least 10 policemen on Sunday morning. He also remains in jail for his grand theft auto.
Four of the police in question were remanded in a magistrate’s court later in the day. The Tel Aviv Magistrate’s Court released the four to house arrest. The court stated that based on eyewitness testimony, there is reasonable doubt pointing to the guilt of the four policemen.

When the police serve the people for good, they get punished.
Lets hope the police will be allowed to punish criminals.
And lets hope they will stop persecuting jews.
Notice that when it is an Arab abused by the Israeli police it is immediately acted upon, but when these individuals choose to abuse their power in regard to Jews it goes completely unnoticed. Medina mishtara. There is no police oversight.
Does it work that way in America too, that based on one person’s complaint, 10 people get arrested without any corroboration? To me it is reminiscent of the inquisition.
