Police on Sunday afternoon detected a stolen vehicle in the village of Bnai Naim near Kiryat Arba on Sunday afternoon. It was determined the vehicle was stolen a number of days earlier from Jerusalem.

As police tried to stop the driver he attempted to run them over and flee. Police fired at the fleeing thief, wounding him moderately-to-seriously.
