H&O took a step to assist the needy of Afula, donating new slightly irregular seconds for sale at the cost of NIS 1 per garment. According to Yossi Levy, who heads the Yad L’Kehillah organization, most people were unable to detect the defects in the clothing and shoes, and those who did simply did not care, pleased with the selection of the new name-brand merchandise.

Levy explains that he received over 2,000 garments, costing NIS tens to hundreds, towards distribution to the needy in Afula, and the garments were made available to those in need for the token sum, bringing smiles to many faces, adults and children alike.
