Rabbonim are calling on the tzibur once again to come out on shabbos to protest the operation of the Jerusalem Intel branch located in the Har Chotzvim High-Tech Park. The protest is set to get underway at 11:30am near the location of Intel.
The kol korei for the protest states that no bochrim and children should take part, seeking to avoid the violence that usually accompanies the participation of the young.
At 3:00pm, participants will gather in Meah Shearim to hear the rabbonim shlita, after which they will begin walking towards Shivtei Yisrael Street and Karta, to protest the chilul shabbos associated with the city’s operating the parking lot on shabbos.
In other shabbos matters, the head of the Vaad L’maan Shabbos, Rabbi Yosef Rosenfeld, has prepared a list of food stores opening operating on shabbos, in gas stations in the capital. Addressing a vaad meeting, the rav called on members to address this alarming reality as well as to prepare a list of stores operating in the city on shabbos, trampling the kedusha of the day.

The signs not only say that there shouldn’t be any children or bachurim there, they also say that there shouldn’t be any violence. And it’s not only this week, they’ve said that every week. And it’s not even just this hafgana, but rather it says that on every sign for e very hafgana. But of course if one is interested in blasting the the gedolim for condoning violence then this is a fact that we’ll just have to ignore and pretend to not know about.
