Officials in the Office of the UK Foreign Secretary announced on Wednesday the UK is “urgently” addressing the matter of the legal status that permits the threat of arrest against senior Israeli officials, calling the matter unacceptable and vowing to investigate towards an expeditious solution that will permit Israeli leaders to travel freely and frequently to the UK, indicating the nation’s genuine interest in maintaining the close relationship that exists with Yerushalayim.
