Four frum girls arrested some two years ago in an outpost in Shomron, near Beit El are taking their case to court, accusing police of physically abusing them at the time of their arrests.
The girls, today 16 and 17, were taken to the area police station located at Shar Binyamin, and “searched inappropriately” by police. The suit speaks of the physical and psychological trauma they endured. A right-wing human rights organization is handling the NIS 500,000 lawsuit.
The girls recently appeared before a Knesset committee dealing with the status of women.
