Mr. Arik Amzaleg filed an impressive NIS 595 million lawsuit against Israel’s largest dairy cooperative, Tnuva, after suffering abdominal pains, heartburn and shortness of breath, which he attributes to the company’s Piraeus 5% salted cheese. A laboratory inspection of the product revealed the presence of tributyl phosphate, a chemical viewed as harmful to human consumption.
The chemical was found in a number of cheeses in the Piraeus line, including 16% and 24% fat as well as other white cheeses produced by Tnuva.
The plaintiff is represented by attorneys Amir Yisraeli and Yochai Geva, with the lawsuit listing the possible side effects of the chemical, including damage to one’s central nervous system.
The suit is divided, seeking NIS 120,000 to reimburse for products purchased from the dairy and the remainder for compensatory damages. The formula used to arrive at the sum is 50,000 customers purchasing the product over a seven-year period.
Tnuva officials are reviewing the details of the lawsuit and are not commenting at this time.

The US machla of ridiculous tort suits has hit EY? Nice.
Tnuva deserves a huge fine (their quality control is indeed such that I don’t understand why their products are not labeled “For External Use Only” and/or sold as rodenticide in the US) and a real safety and quality inspection but this is way out of whack.
i think when he asked for $595000000 his nervous system was already affected.
all food in e”y under goes very sub standard quality control if it wont kill u this second its sold
