Kadima leader MK Tzipi Livni, who holds the title opposition leader in Knesset, will be meeting with faction members on Monday afternoon to discuss her meetings with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu regarding the prime minister’s calls to enter the coalition government.

Based on statements and calculated media leaks, Livni appears to remain opposed to joining the government, a move that many believe will fractionalize her party, since some 14 MKs have exhibited a diesire to break away, dissatisfied with the direction Livni has taken the party.

MK Otniel Schneller released a statement that if the party decides to remain in opposition, he will break away, unwilling to remain in Kadima under the current realities.
