Work is beginning on refurbishing the Chabad’s talmid torah and girl’s school in Kiryat Gat. The work is being described as a major overhaul, which will result in an entirely new look. The work will include building a play area, playground, removing the asbestos roof tiles and replacing them with another material that does not pose a health threat, improving safety in the building, and of course modernizing the mosdos which are in need of work. The funding will come from the Mifal HaPayis Lottery Commission funding for the city after Mayor Aviram Dahari pushed for the budget.
Chabad PTA chairman in the city, R’ Zalman Hecht confirmed the report appearing in the daily HaMevaser, emphasizing the good relations maintained between mosdos Chabad in the city, the mayor and City Hall.
