Noam and Aviva Shalit, the parents of captive soldier Gilad Shalit, met on Tuesday with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s emissary dealing with prisoner release issues, Chaggai Hadas.

The Shalits told the media the meeting was planned in advance; a meeting intended to provide them with a regular periodic update, seeking to dispel speculation of new developments amid Arab media reports of an imminent prisoner release deal.
