Police report that graffiti stating “danger construction site” was painted in Jerusalem posh French Hill neighborhood on Tuesday morning, vowing to track down the responsible offenders. In addition, tires of area vehicles were slashed and police report this was connected to the protest against the building freeze.
Police officials received numerous complaints from residents of Lechi Street, stating the tires of 20 vehicles were slashed. Notes opposing the government decision to halt construction throughout Yehuda and Shomron were also found on the windshield wipers of the targeted vehicles.
Some residents explained the notes stated “this is the price, if we are frozen, your lives will be as well”.
Police report all targeted vehicles had yellow [Israeli] license plates but they feel the vandals intended to target Arab vehicles. No additional explanation was offered as to why police take this to believe they intended to target Arab vehicles.
