Terror Attack Prevented in Yishuv Yitzhar


idf.jpgSoldiers at about 7:20am on Friday morning detected an armed terrorist trying to make his way into the Shalhevet neighborhood of Yishuv Yitzhar, the community’s most western neighborhood, making his way from Atzira el-Kabaliya, a nearby Arab village. The terrorist was armed with a gun and a knife according to the HaMevaser report.

The community’s first-response team was alerted but the terrorist managed to escape. B’chasdei Hashem, the terror attack was averted.

Elsewhere in Yehuda and Shomron, soldiers over the weekend found a loaded shotgun in the bushes near the Arab village of Kfar Madma, presumably in preparation for another attack.

In yet another incident, a knife was found concealed in the vehicle of an Arab during a routine inspection at a Jatt Junction checkpoint, near Kedumim. The occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.

In violent anti partition fence riots at Bilin on ever shabbos, border police who were in danger fired at the feet of protestors, injuring one man moderately, striking him in a leg. Dozens of Arabs accompanied by members of the Israeli left-wing pelted soldiers with rocks at the location, as well as the protest site at Na’alin.

In Hamas-controlled Gaza, soldiers operating near the border fence were targeted by terrorist gunfire in the Kissufim area. Baruch Hashem, there were no injuries. Soldiers were targeted machinegun fire and anti-tank rockets.
